From a very young age, I always found drawing as an escape from everyday realities. In church I would hide under the pews next to my mom’s purse and draw, while the preacher would speak about things I couldn’t quite understand yet. This continued through high school, where I would draw on the daily newspapers in the library. I wish I had some of those… Drawing was an expression of the way I saw things.
